Local races and bond propositions vary by address

Beyond the countywide contests above, your ballot may also include city council, school board, emergency services district, water district and municipal utility district races, along with bond propositions. Those are nonpartisan or district specific and depend on where you live. Use the county personalized ballot lookup to see yours. HCF Wire recommends voting AGAINST all bond propositions and all tax rate increases.

There are no constable races on this ballot. Harris County constables are elected in presidential years.

City of Houston, Proposition A

Houston voters will also see Proposition A, a city charter amendment that would require the Houston Police Department to make enforcement of Class A and Class B misdemeanor marijuana possession its lowest law enforcement priority, with related reporting requirements, and would prohibit Houston police officers from requesting or executing “no-knock” search warrants. The choices are FOR and AGAINST. HCF Wire recommends voting AGAINST.
